North Canterbury Netball Centre winter competitions cater for all ages from 5 years old and above.

Junior Netball caters for all School Years 1 to 8

Grade competition for all Secondary School players, social players, senior players right through to Premier Grade.

All age groups must register with a club and players will be placed into a team.

JUNIOR NETBALL

Years 1 & 2 – is played on a Saturday morning at Dudley Park Netball Courts between 9.00-9.45am. All registrations are taken by Clubs.

Years 3 & 4 – is played on Friday afternoons from 3.30pm and held at MainPower Stadium, Coldstream Rd, Rangiora

Years 5 & 6 – are played on Saturdays at Dudley Park Netball Courts.

Game times TBC.

Years 7 & 8 – are played on Saturdays at Dudley Park Netball Courts

GRADE NETBALL

Secondary School / Adult – Grade Netball includes social and grade teams through to Senior and is played on Saturdays between 8.30am and 5pm.

Premier Competition is played on Thursday nights, 6.30 & 8.00pm game times.

Games are held at MainPower Stadium.

All registrations are taken through Clubs.

MALES PLAYING NETBALL AT NCNC

Primary School Aged Boys playing futureFERNS

NCNC follow the rules as set out in the Netball NZ Junior Policy:All boys may play Netball alongside girls up to the age of 12 without restriction.

Year 7 and 8 boys who are over the age of 12 years may continue to play Netball at the discretion of the Netball Centre. NNZ recommends a maximum of three boys playing on court at any one time, one in each third.

Up to TWO males per team are permitted on court at any time and only one male may play within each third:1 Attack - 1 male in positions GS or GA1 Mid Court - 1 male in positions, WA or C or WD1 Defence - 1 male in position GD or GK

Males Under 18 Years Old and/or attending High School playing in the Grade Competition

Must be Under 18 as at 1st January or still at High School.
Must be graded in a team of the appropriate level and ability of their play.
Players must wear an approved club uniform. Clubs must register a male uniform to be approved by North Canterbury Management.
